plaginess All hail the tech advances that allow musicians who are thousands of miles apart to sound as though they're together in the same room. The Pilgrim is a wonderful manifestation of what those advances have wrought. I hear the influence of XTC, Gabriel era Genesis, King Crimson, and the Beatles at their most psychedelic, and as it happens, all of those influences are mine as well. about

THIS IS A 5 SONG ALBUM

I was inspired to create this album by a story, namely "Kim", by Rudyard Kipling, and in particular the pilgrimage of an aged Tibetan monk through the plains and mountains of India as he searches for a sacred river, which he believes will bring him Enlightenment.

Although this album is a "solo" project, it has been made possible by the wonders of modern technology, and through collaboration. This has allowed four friends from opposite sides of the Atlantic to re-visit a musical relationship which had its genesis at a UK Midlands University in 1979, where we formed a band known as "Tiny Lites". This, at least for me, prompted a lifetime's career in music, and continues to inspire and motivate my creative world to this day.

In this sense, "The Pilgrim" is not just about a character in a book, it is also about me. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and made this possible. — Andrew Stone
